4. About CometFare
CometFare is a real-time chat and social web application. It may include accounts, profiles, habitats, channels, messaging, group chats, friends, Bonds, Discover, voice and video calls, camera and screen streaming, notifications, presence indicators, user posts, support posts, blog content, comments, reports, moderation tools, roles, traits, media uploads, stickers and custom emoji, 3D profile scenes, optional integrations (such as Spotify), premium subscriptions (Voyager), Voyager gifting, and related social features.
CometFare is designed to provide a simpler, more controlled alternative to large social/community platforms. Some features may be experimental, changed, renamed, removed, limited, or expanded over time.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of CometFare at any time. We are not required to continue offering any specific feature forever.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use CometFare.
By creating an account or using CometFare, you confirm that:
- you are at least 13 years old;
- you are allowed to use CometFare under the laws that apply to you;
- you are not prohibited from using the Service by applicable law, platform rules, payment-provider rules, or prior enforcement action;
- you will use CometFare only in compliance with these Terms.
If you are under the age of legal majority in your location, you may use CometFare only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, unless applicable law allows otherwise.
CometFare is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or use the Service. If we learn that a user is under 13, we may suspend or delete the account and associated information.
We may refuse, suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we believe a user is underage, is using the Service unlawfully, or creates legal, safety, payment, or platform risk.
6. Accounts
To use certain features, you may need to create an account.
You agree to:
- provide accurate information where required;
- keep your login credentials secure;
- not share your account with unauthorized people;
- not sell, trade, transfer, or give away your account without permission;
- not create accounts to evade bans, restrictions, moderation actions, rate limits, or payment restrictions;
- promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, except where the activity resulted from a security failure that was not caused by you.
We may require account verification, email verification, additional security checks, or other reasonable steps before allowing access to certain features.
CometFare may offer optional security features such as two-factor authentication (2FA) and sign-in through third-party providers such as Google. If you enable 2FA, you are responsible for keeping access to your authentication device or codes; losing them may result in losing access to your account.
7. Usernames, Profiles, and Identity
CometFare may allow you to choose usernames, display names, profile pictures, bios, labels, traits, and other profile details.
You may not use profile information to:
- impersonate another person, brand, organization, staff member, admin, moderator, government body, or public figure;
- mislead users about your identity or authority;
- harass, target, shame, threaten, or abuse others;
- promote fraud, malware, scams, illegal activity, or harmful behavior;
- violate intellectual property rights;
- use offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, or illegal names or imagery.
We may remove, rename, hide, restrict, or reclaim usernames, profile information, labels, traits, or identifiers at our discretion, especially where needed for safety, impersonation prevention, trademark issues, abuse prevention, or platform integrity.
8. Habitats and Community Spaces
CometFare may allow users to create, join, manage, moderate, customize, or participate in habitats.
Habitat owners and authorized staff may be able to:
- create and manage channels;
- invite or remove users;
- assign roles, traits, or permissions;
- manage membership;
- moderate content;
- ban or restrict users;
- configure habitat settings;
- review reports or enforcement information available to them;
- set rules for their own habitat, as long as those rules do not conflict with these Terms.
Habitat owners and staff are responsible for how they manage their communities. However, CometFare may override habitat-level decisions where needed to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, or secure the Service.
CometFare may remove, restrict, archive, transfer, or disable habitats that violate these Terms, become harmful, are used for abuse, or create legal or operational risk.
9. Friends, Buds, Direct Messages, and Group Chats
CometFare includes a mutual friendship system. Users may send friend requests to other users. A friendship is established only when both users confirm the connection.
Direct messages are restricted to confirmed friends unless otherwise permitted by the Service.
CometFare may also allow group chats: private multi-person conversations between invited users. Group chat invitations are subject to each user's invite preferences, and the rules in this section and these Terms apply equally to group chats.
You agree not to:
- send friend requests for the purpose of harassment, spam, or unwanted contact;
- use friendships to bypass blocks, bans, or moderation actions;
- create accounts solely to re-establish blocked connections;
- abuse the friend system for social engineering, impersonation, or manipulation.
You may block or remove friends at any time. Blocking a user will prevent them from sending you messages, friend requests, or Bond invites.
CometFare may display your friend list, mutual friend counts, or friendship status to other users depending on your settings and the features available.
10. Bonds
CometFare offers an intentional one-to-one relationship feature called Bonds. A Bond is a paired social connection between two users, formed through a targeted invite sent in a direct message.
Bond rules:
- A user may have only one active Bond at a time.
- Bond invites are targeted to a specific user and expire after a limited time.
- A Bond is formed only when the invited user accepts the invite.
- A newly accepted Bond may have a short lock period before it can be broken.
- Recently rejected or broken Bond states may trigger cooldown periods before a new Bond can be formed.
- Bond status, including the paired user's name, may be visible on your profile or in chat depending on your Bond display settings.
By accepting a Bond, you consent to the pairing being displayed to other users according to your settings and the Service's features.
You must not:
- send repeated unwanted Bond invites to a user who has declined;
- use Bonds to harass, pressure, shame, stalk, or manipulate another user;
- use Bonds as part of impersonation or deceptive behavior;
- exploit Bond mechanics to bypass cooldowns, restrictions, or moderation actions.
CometFare may dissolve, restrict, hide, or reset Bonds at its discretion where needed for user safety, moderation enforcement, account termination, or platform integrity.
11. Discover and Public Visibility
CometFare may include a Discover feature that allows users to browse public habitats, public profiles, or other publicly visible content within the Service.
Content that appears in Discover is determined by CometFare based on factors such as habitat settings, user preferences, visibility configuration, and platform policies.
By making a habitat or profile publicly visible or discoverable, you consent to it appearing in Discover listings, search results, or recommendations within CometFare.
You must not:
- manipulate Discover rankings, visibility, or listings through fake activity, spam, or deceptive behavior;
- create misleading habitats or profiles for the purpose of gaming Discover placement;
- use Discover to target, harass, or collect information about users for abuse.
CometFare may remove, deprioritize, restrict, or hide content from Discover at any time for any reason, including quality, safety, policy enforcement, or operational needs.
12. Notifications, Presence, and Activity Status
CometFare may display presence indicators (such as online, offline, idle, or activity status), typing indicators, read receipts, or notification badges to other users.
By using CometFare, you acknowledge that:
- your online/offline status and activity indicators may be visible to friends, habitat members, or other users depending on the feature and your settings;
- typing indicators and presence data are shared in real time during active use;
- CometFare may deliver notifications through the browser, desktop app, or other supported channels;
- notification delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by device settings, network conditions, or Service availability.
Where available, you may configure presence and notification settings. CometFare does not guarantee that all settings will be available on all platforms or in all contexts.
13. Voice & Video Calls and Streaming
CometFare may allow users to start or join voice calls, video calls, camera sharing, or screen streaming in direct messages, group chats, habitats, or other supported spaces.
By using call or streaming features, you acknowledge that:
- audio and video are transmitted in real time through third-party real-time communication infrastructure (currently Agora);
- CometFare does not record or store the audio or video content of calls or streams;
- CometFare stores call and stream metadata, such as participants, the space where a call happened, start and end times, and duration;
- daily usage limits apply and may differ between free and Voyager accounts;
- call quality depends on your device, network, and third-party infrastructure, and is not guaranteed.
You must not use calls or streams to:
- harass, threaten, record without consent, or abuse other participants;
- broadcast unlawful, exploitative, or harmful content;
- circumvent moderation actions, blocks, or bans;
- overload, abuse, or exploit call or streaming systems, tokens, or quotas.
Other participants may be able to record or capture calls or streams using their own devices, outside CometFare's control. Do not share anything in a call or stream that you would not share in a message.
CometFare may end, restrict, or limit calls and streams at any time for moderation, safety, capacity, quota, or operational reasons.
14. Roles, Traits, Labels, and Cosmetic Features
CometFare may include cosmetic or organizational features such as roles, traits, labels, habitat themes, profile styling, profile galleries, animated (GIF) avatars, 3D profile scenes, premium cosmetics, or similar features.
These features may affect how a user appears inside CometFare but do not grant ownership of any part of the Service.
We may change, rename, rebalance, disable, remove, or restrict these features at any time.
Premium-only roles, traits, cosmetics, themes, or visual features may stop displaying, stop being editable, or become limited when a subscription ends. Some stored configuration data may remain saved for possible reactivation later, unless deleted under applicable retention rules or account deletion processes.
15. Messaging and User Content
CometFare may allow users to send messages, post content, create comments, reply to blog posts, submit support posts, upload images and media, create habitat content, share files in chat, build profile galleries, report other users, or otherwise communicate.
You are responsible for your User Content.
You must not submit User Content that:
- is unlawful;
- is abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory;
- sexually exploits or endangers minors;
- promotes self-harm, terrorism, violent extremism, or serious real-world harm;
- contains malware, phishing, spyware, credential theft, or malicious code;
- infringes intellectual property rights;
- violates privacy rights or exposes private information without permission;
- promotes fraud, scams, impersonation, or deceptive behavior;
- contains illegal sexual content;
- coordinates harassment, raids, brigading, spam, or platform manipulation;
- attempts to evade moderation, bans, filters, or platform controls.
We may remove, limit, preserve, review, or report User Content where necessary to operate the Service, enforce these Terms, respond to reports, prevent harm, comply with law, or protect CometFare and its users.
Media and File Uploads
CometFare may allow users to upload images, videos, audio, documents, stickers, custom emoji, 3D models (such as profile scenes), or other files in chat, profiles, galleries, habitats, or other areas of the Service.
Uploaded stickers, custom emoji, and 3D profile scenes are User Content and are subject to the same content rules as everything else you submit.
Uploaded media is subject to:
- file size limits, which may differ between free and Voyager accounts;
- supported file type restrictions;
- automatic processing such as compression, resizing, format conversion, or thumbnail generation;
- content moderation and the same rules that apply to all User Content;
- storage limits that may change over time.
We do not guarantee permanent storage of uploaded media. Media may be removed, compressed, migrated, or deleted as needed for operational, legal, storage, or policy reasons.
16. Messages, Privacy, and Encryption Limits
CometFare is not end-to-end encrypted.
Messages, including direct messages and private-channel messages, may be encrypted while traveling between your device and CometFare’s servers using standard transport encryption such as HTTPS/TLS or secure WebSocket connections. This helps protect messages from ordinary network snooping by Wi-Fi attackers, internet providers, or other third parties watching the connection.
However, CometFare’s servers may receive, process, store, and retrieve message content in readable form so the Service can:
- deliver messages;
- display chat history;
- enforce permissions;
- process mentions;
- apply length limits;
- investigate reports;
- maintain moderation and safety systems;
- provide support;
- debug and operate the Service.
Private messages, private channels, private support posts, and limited-access habitats are intended to limit visibility to the relevant users or authorized roles. They are not a promise of absolute secrecy and are not the same as end-to-end encrypted communications.
We may access, review, preserve, or disclose private or limited-access content when reasonably necessary to:
- investigate reports;
- enforce these Terms;
- detect abuse, spam, fraud, malware, or security threats;
- comply with legal obligations;
- protect users;
- protect CometFare;
- debug, maintain, or secure the Service;
- respond to emergencies or credible threats of harm.
Users should not use CometFare to send information that they cannot risk being stored, moderated, reported, accessed by authorized systems, or legally disclosed.
17. License You Give CometFare
You keep ownership of your User Content, subject to any rights held by others.
By submitting User Content to CometFare, you grant CometFare a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, copy, display, transmit, process, reproduce, modify for formatting or technical purposes, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content as necessary to operate, improve, secure, moderate, and provide the Service.
This license includes the right to:
- display your public content to other users;
- transmit messages to intended recipients;
- store backups;
- resize, crop, compress, encode, or format images and media;
- use content in moderation tools;
- preserve content as needed for safety, legal, security, or enforcement purposes.
This license ends when your User Content is deleted from the Service, except where continued use or retention is necessary for backups, legal obligations, safety, dispute resolution, moderation records, technical integrity, or content already shared with others.
18. CometFare’s Intellectual Property
CometFare, including its name, branding, interface, logos, designs, code, software, icons, features, systems, visual style, documentation, and related materials, is owned by CometFare or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, scrape, clone, exploit, or create derivative works from CometFare except where allowed by law or with written permission.
Using CometFare does not give you ownership of the Service or any CometFare intellectual property.
19. Feedback and Suggestions
If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, designs, feature requests, or other feedback, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation.
We may use feedback to improve CometFare, build features, change designs, fix issues, or develop new services.
20. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use CometFare to do any of the following:
Abuse and Harassment
- harass, threaten, bully, stalk, shame, intimidate, or abuse others;
- encourage harassment or raids;
- target users based on protected characteristics;
- create hostile or unsafe communities;
- evade blocks, bans, or restrictions.
Illegal or Harmful Activity
- violate applicable law;
- promote or coordinate crimes;
- distribute illegal content;
- sell or promote illegal goods or services;
- facilitate fraud, identity theft, scams, or payment abuse.
Security Abuse
- attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, APIs, databases, habitats, private channels, admin tools, or user data;
- probe, scan, exploit, bypass, overload, disrupt, or attack CometFare systems;
- distribute malware, phishing links, spyware, token stealers, credential harvesters, or malicious scripts;
- abuse bugs, vulnerabilities, or security weaknesses;
- access or use non-public features without permission;
- interfere with another user’s access to the Service.
Spam and Platform Manipulation
- spam messages, posts, invitations, support requests, reports, comments, or links;
- mass-create accounts;
- manipulate engagement, reputation, reports, moderation, bans, or visibility;
- use bots, scripts, automation, or scraping without permission;
- create fake activity or deceptive accounts.
Impersonation and Deception
- impersonate users, staff, moderators, admins, companies, public figures, or official entities;
- misrepresent affiliation with CometFare;
- falsely claim authority;
- use misleading names, profile images, labels, or badges.
Content Violations
- post unlawful, exploitative, hateful, violent, sexually abusive, or non-consensual content;
- share private personal information without permission;
- infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other rights;
- distribute content that encourages real-world harm.
Payment Abuse
- use stolen payment methods;
- commit refund fraud or chargeback abuse;
- bypass subscriptions or premium restrictions;
- resell premium access without permission;
- exploit pricing, coupons, trials, or billing systems.
21. Moderation and Enforcement
We may take Moderation Actions at our discretion, including:
- warnings;
- content removal;
- message deletion;
- visibility limits;
- feature restrictions;
- habitat restrictions;
- account suspension;
- account termination;
- device, IP, or payment restrictions;
- subscription cancellation;
- refusal of service;
- reporting to legal authorities where appropriate.
We do not promise to enforce every rule in every situation or to act at any specific speed. Failure to enforce a rule once does not waive our right to enforce it later.
We may use automated systems, manual review, user reports, technical signals, moderation logs, and staff judgment to enforce these Terms.
22. Reports and Support Requests
CometFare may allow users to submit reports, support tickets, public support posts, private support posts, bug reports, or moderation appeals.
You must not abuse reporting or support systems. False, malicious, spammy, or abusive reports may result in action against your account.
Information submitted through support or reporting tools may be reviewed by CometFare staff or authorized moderators, depending on the feature and access level.
23. Premium Features and Voyager
CometFare may offer optional paid features, subscriptions, upgrades, cosmetics, storage, increased limits, customization options, or other premium benefits, including Voyager.
Premium Features may:
- require an active subscription;
- change over time;
- have usage limits;
- be renamed, modified, removed, replaced, or discontinued;
- be unavailable during outages or maintenance;
- depend on third-party payment systems.
Purchasing Premium Features does not create ownership of those features. It gives you access under the conditions shown at the time of purchase and under these Terms.
Voyager Gifts
CometFare may allow users to purchase Voyager time as a gift for another user. Gifts are one-time purchases, not recurring subscriptions.
- A gift becomes active only when the recipient claims it through the gift link or claim flow provided.
- Gift links must not be sold, traded, or used for fraud, spam, or harassment.
- We may revoke, expire, or invalidate gifts that are unclaimed after a reasonable period, obtained fraudulently, or used in violation of these Terms.
- Refunds for gift purchases are governed by the Refund Policy and are generally available only to the purchaser, not the recipient. Refunding a gift may remove the recipient's associated Voyager time.
24. Subscriptions, Billing, and Renewal
CometFare uses Paddle as its payment provider for subscriptions and paid features.
If you purchase a subscription, you agree to pay the listed fees, taxes, and charges shown at checkout.
Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
You authorize CometFare and Paddle to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscription fees.
You are responsible for canceling before the renewal date if you do not want to be charged again.
Subscriptions may be canceled through the Paddle checkout, Paddle customer portal, billing-management link, or other Paddle-powered cancellation flow made available to you. If you cannot access the cancellation flow, you may contact [email protected] for help.
If payment fails, we may:
- retry the payment;
- suspend premium access;
- downgrade your account;
- restrict premium-only editing;
- cancel the subscription;
- preserve eligible premium configuration data for possible reactivation.
25. Subscription Expiration and Premium Data
If your subscription ends, premium-only active features may stop displaying, stop working, or become non-editable.
CometFare may preserve some premium configuration data, such as cosmetic settings, roles, traits, habitat styling, limits, or related metadata, so that it may be restored if you subscribe again.
We do not guarantee that all premium data will be preserved forever. We may delete, modify, archive, or migrate premium-related data as needed for technical, legal, operational, or product reasons.
26. Price Changes
We may change subscription prices, plan limits, feature availability, or billing terms.
Where required by law or payment provider rules, we will provide notice before material price changes take effect.
If you do not agree to a price change, you should cancel your subscription before the change applies.
27. Trials, Promotions, and Discounts
CometFare may offer free trials, discounts, coupons, promotions, or limited-time offers.
We may set eligibility rules, duration limits, renewal terms, and restrictions for these offers.
Unless stated otherwise, a trial may convert into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period. You are responsible for reviewing the offer terms before starting a trial.
We may revoke promotions if we believe they are abused, misused, obtained fraudulently, or used in violation of these Terms.
28. Refunds
Refunds are governed by the CometFare Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply under law.
29. Third-Party Services
CometFare relies on third-party service providers to operate the Service.
Current providers may include:
- Paddle for payments, subscriptions, invoices, receipts, taxes, fraud checks, refunds, and billing management;
- Cloudflare for hosting, infrastructure, security, networking, database/auth-related services, analytics, and related platform services;
- Resend for email delivery and service communications;
- Agora for real-time voice and video call and streaming infrastructure;
- Google for optional sign-in with a Google account;
- Spotify for the optional, user-connected "listening now" profile integration, which you may disconnect at any time.
These providers may process information according to their own terms, privacy policies, data processing terms, and security practices.
We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but we may use them to provide, secure, improve, and bill for CometFare.
30. Desktop & Mobile Apps, Downloads, and Updates
CometFare may provide a desktop app, a mobile app, or other downloadable software.
Mobile apps may request operating-system permissions such as photo library, camera, or microphone access in order to provide features like media uploads and calls. You control these permissions through your device settings; declining them may limit some features.
If a CometFare app is distributed through an app store or third-party marketplace, your use of that platform is also subject to the platform's own terms.
You agree not to:
- tamper with the app;
- bypass security features;
- redistribute modified versions;
- reverse engineer the app except where allowed by law;
- use the app to attack, scrape, overload, or abuse CometFare.
Apps may require updates to continue working. We may stop supporting old versions, and outdated versions may be blocked from connecting until updated.
Some CometFare app downloads may be unsigned, not notarized, and not certified by platform providers. Your operating system may display warnings such as unidentified developer, unverified app, or similar security notices. You are responsible for deciding whether to install the app. CometFare should provide downloads only from official CometFare-controlled pages or trusted distribution links.
31. Beta, Experimental, and Incomplete Features
Some CometFare features may be experimental, unfinished, unstable, or temporary.
Beta features may break, lose data, change behavior, disappear, or become paid features later.
We do not guarantee that experimental features will remain available or work without errors.
32. Service Availability
CometFare is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that CometFare will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, fast, compatible with every device, or available forever.
We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, security incidents, abuse prevention, legal compliance, capacity limits, or operational reasons.
33. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if:
- you violate these Terms;
- you create risk to users or CometFare;
- you abuse the Service;
- you commit payment fraud or chargeback abuse;
- you evade enforcement actions;
- your account is compromised;
- we are required by law;
- continued access would create legal, security, financial, or operational risk.
You may stop using CometFare at any time. Account deletion options may be provided through the Service or by contacting us.
Some information may remain after account deletion where needed for legal, billing, safety, moderation, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or technical reasons.
34. Appeals
CometFare may provide an appeal process for some moderation actions, but we are not required to provide appeals for every action. Where available, appeals can be submitted through the appeal page.
Appeals must be truthful and respectful. Abuse of appeals may result in further restrictions.
35. Copyright and Intellectual Property Complaints
If you believe content on CometFare infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, contact us at [email protected] with:
- your name and contact information;
- a description of the protected work;
- the location of the allegedly infringing content;
- a statement explaining why you believe your rights are being violated;
- any other information reasonably needed to investigate.
We may remove or restrict content that appears to infringe rights.
36. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CometFare is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, security, and uninterrupted operation.
We do not guarantee that:
- CometFare will meet your expectations;
- messages will always be delivered instantly;
- content will never be lost;
- accounts will never be compromised;
- moderation will catch every harmful act;
- habitats will remain available forever;
- premium features will remain unchanged;
- the Service will be free from bugs, downtime, or security incidents.
37. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CometFare and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, reputation, business opportunity, or digital content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CometFare’s total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid to CometFare in the three months before the claim arose; or
- $50 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limits may not apply to you.
38. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CometFare and its operators from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- your use of the Service;
- your User Content;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of law;
- your violation of another person’s rights;
- your abuse of payments, subscriptions, habitats, reports, or moderation systems.
39. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection law.
If a law gives you mandatory rights, those rights continue to apply even if these Terms say something different.
40. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, except where mandatory consumer protection, privacy, or digital-service laws in your location require otherwise.
Users in other countries may still have mandatory local rights that cannot be waived by these Terms.
41. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the dispute informally.
Your message should include:
- your account email or username;
- a description of the issue;
- what you want resolved;
- any relevant payment or support details.
We will attempt to review and respond within a reasonable time.
42. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we may provide notice through the Service, by email, or by updating the date at the top of this page.
Continued use of CometFare after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using CometFare.
